I just started a new job and I am on my feet 8 hours or longer with only a 30 minute break. My feet KILL me after like 5 hours. I have cheap shoes right now until my next check. We are allowed to wear sneakers as long as they are completely black. What are some good brands that are comfortable and best on your feet for a decent price that would work for my situation?

I personally like Skechers. I worked as a dental assistant for years, and some days I was on my feet for up to 10 hours. I’d worn Nike, Adidas, and K Swiss, and the only shoes that really didn’t hurt my feet were the Skechers. They tend to last a long time, too, and they’re less expensive that most other name brands.

I used to stand for 8-10 hours a day at work and insoles with an arch support helped (and they only cost about $6). Also, if you can stand on a rubber mat, that will help as well.

i work 12 hrs or more w little break I wear Danskos-most co-worker so also… save yr receipt and use it to deduct from taxes as it is work related wear. Feet still hurt after a long shift but not as much now

Get athletic shoes that fit your heel and give your toes room to wiggle, ie, an adequate toe box. Then go to your local pharmacy place and buy gel insoles. I adore mine. Buy the best shoes you can afford. Dansko makes great on-your-feet-all-day shoes. Check into those as well. Most cost $100 or so, but it’s better to have one good pair of shoes than 5 crappy ones. I can’t recommend Danskos highly enough. They have saved my back.
