I always tell them I don’t have the money and they back off instantly.

“I’ll think about it and come back” If they have made you up, “I want my hubby/girlfriend/daughter/boyfriend, etc., to see this color on me before I decide to buy”.
If you like the color, why wouldn’t you buy? Just taking advantage of someone else helping you? well, I guess they get paid to do that also.

You go, have the match done,l then after you find out the color, tell the salesperson you’ll be back. Then leave. I found that Bare Minerals is the best foundation because it never blotches or runs and Avon has a less expensive line just like Bare Minerals.

The reason you are having trouble with this is because you know you are going in and making them do something for you and you have no intention of buying anything from them. Tell the salesperson you are looking for the right shade and want to try some. After they make you over, thank them and tell them you want to wear it for a day to see how it works. They are used to having to give out a lot of samples before getting any sales.

Why not just go buy it from the place you get matched at? I mean… if you’re going to buy it anyway, just do it when you get it matched.
Or say you want to wear it through the day and see how it goes before you buy it. That would be acceptable.

I always use this line when I really not into buying stuff:
“I’m just window shopping. Thanks anyway.” – with a smiling face(the kind-type of smile)
