Question: What do you know about Hermes, the Greek God?
I’m interested in this God a little bit. I remember in the Odyssey he had winged sandals. He is also a messenger God. There is just something regal about the Greek Gods. I imagine this one as being zippy and carefree.

As far as “spiritual implications” are concerned, I’ll say go for it- if the name ‘speaks’ to a deep part of your soul, and, as you do, that the gods are real, then have you considered that they may WANT you to name her after Hermes?
Personally, I think its a beautiful name for a little girl, and it doesn’t really sound like herpes- not many kids will be smart enough to make the connection from Hermesa to Hermes to herpes.

Hermes could do lots but he’s I sincerely doubt he would do anything nasty. Best thing to do is try a meditation. Calm your mind for 5 mins, slow your breathing and then call out his name in your mind. If you feel a tingling of energy like pinpricks you’ll know he’s in your presence. He doesn’t answer very often but it’s worth a try. If he does respond, ask him. But make sure you ask two questions, the second being does he mind being allied with Loki :-)

I would think that The femization of Hermes would be Hermione wouldn’t it? Maybe you should use the roman version of the myth because Mercury turns into Muriel much nicer than the Greek version. The name Hermes is strongly masculine one. If he existed he might get mad that you named a girl after him, I don’t think the myths portray him as very even tempered. Remember being a mercurial person is usually a bad thing.

ok true, u can get cheap bags and other merchandise on popfashionstore.com but there isn’t a very good selection of handbags on there, in my opinion. there are a small selection of mediocre bags from each designer..

New York.. i got some really nice handbags there.. and i love them! but u can’t always just walk into your back yard and be in NY where the bags would be available to purchase. so NY is sometimes out of the picture..

all in all, i would recommend tradetang.com where u can choose from a huge selection of bags, as well as just about anything else. and they are completely cheap. be careful though, some of the bags have a high price for shipping since they are shipped from China.. i have had a lot of luck with this site around Christmas time =]
