i just bought some new running shoes.(nike air pegasus 25).
I ran in them this week and now i have some horrible shin splints.
My coach says i should have bought another pair of asics, i used a pair of them before, but i have a new pair of new balance right now and i dont know if i should try them or just buy some new asics.

The following is the answer:

Answer by Disneyland Guru
Whatever fits your feet best. I don’t buy shoes unless I try them out first, even if they are a new model of the same shoe.

My running shoe store fits me, then I can take them home for 90 days. If they don’t work out, I take them back and get another pair of a different shoe for free.

Answer by Dakota
you should try the new balance but listen to the coach he will new what is good for you

Answer by Athletegirl16
I like asics better, but it really all depends on your foot type and how much pressure you put on you feet when running.

Answer by Andrew
Asics GT-2140 for support
Asics Nimbus 10 or 11 if you don’t need that much support but prefer speed.

Those are the best shoes on the market right now. The GT2140s will run you about , and the Nimbus a bit more.

Answer by w/e
well i have both, and i recommend the asics, they pack a lot of technology into the shoes, especially ones made for maximum support, I reccomend the GT-2140, they have much support for every foot type, they have duomax, solyte, shock absorbing gel, AHAR rubber, everything, the New balance i owned had a harder sole and did not feel as comfortable and cushioned as the asics…

Question: What would be the best New balance or Asics shoe for workouts?
I started working out mainly treadmill, bike, and elliptical machines. I bought a pair of Nike, but they hurt the back of my heel. I am returning them today. I need to know if I should get a running or cross trainer. I also have back problems so I need good support. I heard New Balance are good, but I am not sure what series to get.

The answer in the following:

Answer by lc
definitely get the new balance for comfort and support. my mom had foot problems and her doctor recommended new balance. if youre doing more running, wear asics. I have a pair and i love them, they’re amazing.
