The summer sales began Wednesday 27 June and ended yesterday, Saturday 4 August .

The the real secret is to go to the French version of an outlet mall called La Vallee Village (3, cours de la Garonne Paris 77700) where over 75 leading ready-to-wear, table ware and luxury labels offer their previous season’s collections (minimum of 33% reduction (off original recommended price) and up to 60%).

Its actually outside Paris but easy to get to. by the RER commuter train to the Val d’Europe station.

Better still, three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays), there is a Cityrama shuttle service that goes there. Departure from the Cityrama agency, place des Pyramides, at 10:15 am and return to Paris at approximately 5:00pm.

The fare is 15€ round trip. Reservations are required by 5:00pm the day before departure, at your hotel desk or Cityrama agency.

i applied at best buy today and i want to know what the starting pay is for a part-time job as a cashier and a sales associate.

As a cashier, you’ll probably get paid a little better than minimum wage. Since you applied during the holiday season though, MAKE SURE YOU STAY ON YOUR TOES. After New Years, Best Buy tends to lay off their Occasional/Seasonal employees (which I am 99% sure they’ll put you under if you are hired).

As a sales associate, you will get paid a little better per hour, but you will have to watch your quota. You do not get commission, but your job is a little less stressful than a customer service rep.

As for discounts, there is no percentage. It really just depends on what you are trying to buy. For example, you might get a penny off of an iPod with your discount, while you get off on a home theatre accessory. iPods, video games (and systems, NOT including accessories), mp3 players, GPS systems, laptops and computers, and cameras will not give you much of a discount, maybe a dollar off IF YOUR LUCKY. However, on TV’s you can get a few hundred off, game controllers gets a pretty good cut, and cables and plugs you can get for a couple of bucks rather than the + they sell for.

During the holiday season, esp. on Black Friday, things will be chaotic and stressful, but always keep going.
