Okay so I need a new purse, and I cannot decide between Chanel or Hermes. These are both high quality bags and I want to know which one you think is better. I don’t have a limit because my parents are paying so I don’t care about price. Keep in mind that I am an avid bag collector and I have about 200 different bags (maybe more) so I want something that’s different from what I already have. I don’t know I was thinking about a cute little clutch. What do you guys think? Please help

I wouldn’t consider Chanel or Hermes for a clutch that’s not what their collections are known for, but you should know that if you have 200 bags of couture status; you would no doubt want a Judith Leiber clutch for your collection.

the problem is the roster. there are only so many events per month and to many fighters. which is a good reason to get a t.v deal, putting on more events leaves space for more fighters to stay in the limelight. right now you have to be winning to stay in the main show. hopefully, wec will merge with ufc and they will get a t.v deal with a major main network. then we will see allot more mma ,. allot more often and with allot of fighters the average fan may not be aware of.
and yes i’m aware zuffa owns wec, but they realy dont need 2 155 lb classes, and 135 and 145 should just be in ufc.

Im intrested in buying this blue alligator Hermes Birkin, It costs 34,000.00, but my daughter is turning 16 and wants a Mercedes C Class, which is 33,990. But I only have 45,000 to spend this month, and I do not want to get her a car because she does not do good in school, but my husband keeps insisting me to purchase her car!

I would buy the car because it is going to show your daughter more responsibility and then your also giving her a little more of Independence so that she doesn’t have to re lie on you or her Father for everything n that means you don’t have to drive her around everywhere

Technically, it is a Roman marble copy of what is a now-lost (probably) marble original that was hand colored.

The copy does have the contrapposto stance where the figure shifts its weight to one leg creating an S-curve to the body. The body is idealized. The figure is integrated with its support and interacts with the baby Dionysus.

What isn’t Greek Classical about it is the drilled hair and uncolored appearance of the marble. The Greeks would have had artists apply colored waxes for the clothes and hair and colored stones for eyes.

Hermes was god of herds, trade and ethics. He was also the god of animal husbandry, roads, travel, hospitality, heralds, diplomacy, trade, thievery, language, writing, persuasion, cunning wiles, athletic contests, gymnasiums, astronomy, and astrology (busy guy!)

Oh boy that’s a complicated one. he was in charge of a lot of things but briefly…(Deep breath):

He was the Herald of the Gods, responsible for carrying their messages to mankind and each other.

He was the god of travellers, thieves, stealth, tricks, boundaries and the crossing of boundaries, trade and merchants, adolescent youths (male), herdsmen, shepherds and goatherds, luck, heralds, and he was also the inventor of the lyre, and a patron of male sexual potency.

He was also a psycopomp, which means he was responsible for carrying/leading souls to the Underworld. Specifically, he led them to the river Styx, where they had to pay Charon the boatman to be ferried across into Hades. As such, he was one of the VERY few gods who could enter the realm of the dead- most of the Olympian gods could not enter Hades

He was also a patron of so called herme statues. these were pillars with a bearded head carved at the top and an erect penis and testicles carved half-way down, used as boundary stones on the edges of a person’s property. To ensure good luck, you touched the stone genitalia upon passing over the boundary into or out of the property.

The greeks actually had a word for him (originally used to describe Odysseus but it applies to Hermes even more) called metis (there’s a bar over the e) it means “cunning intelligence” (at least that’s the best way to translate it.

Q&A: Can a straight man, carry a Hermes Birkin bag?
My uncle who is apperantly straight carries a Hermes Birkin bag with him as his briefcase, is this possible? I know for a fact that he is straight becasue he is with my aunt and they have my little cousins together. My uncle works, lives, and breathes L.A, not to mention, he works for GQ. I think certain colors of the clutch are definitely masculine looking, but in the end it’s not masculine so I’d suggest going for something bigger in size. I’ve never seen anything masculine that could hold a cellphone and still be a clutch… If you can afford Hermes then I’d suggest LV, they make great agendas and document folders that are always classic in style. I can’t find it right now, but they had a great portfolio.

I’m interested in this God a little bit. I remember in the Odyssey he had winged sandals. He is also a messenger God. There is just something regal about the Greek Gods. I imagine this one as being zippy and carefree.

Hermes was the god of travelers, merchants and thieves. When he was just a boy, he stole a herd of cows consecrated to Apollo, but he managed to evade punishment because he had made the very first lyre and it pleased the musical god.

He was the messenger of the gods, of course. He carried a winged helmet (or hat) and wore winged sandals which allowed him to fly. He also bore a staff adorned with snakes, the caduceus.

He was also the psychopompous, who would guide the spirits of the dead to the Underworld.
