Hi,I did the following:

Q&A: Where do you store your handbags and purses?
For the past couple of nights I’ve been cleaning out my closet and figuring out how to save space. My only real problem is that I can’t find a place to keep my purses and bags..

I’ve gone through my wardrobe and donated the items I no longer use but the bags still don’t fit in my closet or dresser. I had them on these hooks on my walls but it looked really cluttered and the purses got all dusty. I change purses a lot, so I don’t want to have to store them in bins somewhere I won’t have easy access. What do you do? What would you do? What could I buy to help me out with this task, besides a bigger apartment with more closet space?

The answer in the following:

Answer by chels
my purses hang in my closet 3 perses to a hanger…it works out pretty well for me!

Answer by Shashee
They have these hanging storage bins that you hang up in your closet by your clolthes. Most people use them for clothes and sweaters…. but I have stuffed my purses in them. Worked great!

Answer by Mrs.C
You can get those under the bed storage boxes and put them in there, thats what I do with the shoes I dont wear very often.

Answer by tinaw2006
I keep them in a rubbermaid box with a lid in the bottom of my closet.

Answer by Thelma L
Buy a flat storage container with wheels. Store your purses and bags inside and slide beneath your bed. It will not only be out of sight, but will keep them clean and fairly handy as well.

Answer by llittle mama
Same problem here; I screwed cup hooks into my closet door (inside) and hang my purses there. Overflow can go on cup hooks on the back wall of the closet.

Answer by mysteryousmtz
What I would do is that i would put some hooks on top of the walls and place my purses their. They would be around the room cause they are going to be hanging from the wall and whenever you need a bag they are going to be their. If you don’t want for them to collect dust before you hang them put them inside clear bags and then hang them. Good Luck and God Bless to you and your loved ones.

Answer by imnotachickenyoureaturkey
clear plastic bins under your bed? maybe put your bed up on cement blocks or another lift? you can get lifts for beds at bed bath and beyond type places .

or maybe hang your favorite smaller bags on the wall and store your larger ones on the floor of your closet?

i keep mine in bins in the floor of my closet. my favorite ones i have in hanging multi-shoe holders that i put in my coat closet. they’re perfect for small bags, scarves, other accessories. i also found an ottoman with space inside for storage that I love. I don’t use it for bags, but things like that which have double uses are great for small spaces. think a wooden chest instead of a coffeetable, a pile of old fashioned suitcases instead of a side table. also, bags are usually pretty seasonal, so maybe if you pick out a few to get you through this month to have readily available and store the rest somewhere maybe less accessible. going into the back of your closet or digging under your bed aint that bad if its just once a month.

Answer by MrsZ
I store my purses inside little “sleeper” bags. The sleeper bags come with some purses, but old pillow cases work just the same. Of if you sew, make draw string bags that fit each purse, it keeps the dust off and protects them until you want to use them again. I’ve had one bag for over 20 years and carry it all the time, but it looks good since I’ve kept it inside a cloth bag. I stuff them with tissue paper so they keep their shape and put them into the cloth bags so they look good as new.
Under bed storage containers are fabulous. There are also risers that you can buy at bedding stores- they come in different heights and will raise you bed by 2, 4, or 6 inches. If you get your bed up higher off the ground you can put tons of stuff under it. My bed is going to be a foot away from the ceiling if I’m not careful!

Answer by Guinevere
Deacon’s bench at the foot of your bed. Easy access, and the purses are protected and out of sight.

Q&A: Did the Nazis really use human skin to make handbags and purses?
I was watching film of the Nuremberg Trials and the narrator was talking about the Nazis using human skin for purses and handbags, and other parts of bodies to make soaps etc. Did this really happen?

The following is the answer:

Answer by David W
they didn’t waste to waste anything

Answer by peaches6
Sad to say, but yes it really happened. Nazis also made lampshades and other horrific experiments on the jews.

Answer by mach2.0
I haven’t heard directly about purses, but they did make backs of chairs….tattoos, they made lampshades, and horribly, made soap..Women’s hair for special things in u-boats (submarines)
They also shrunk people’s heads…..

Answer by Master Blaster Runs Bartertown
I’m jewish and even I don’t believe things like that…

EDIT = Love all the thumbs down..

I know people who think the Nazis consorted with Space Reptiles for weapons technology in exchange for human blood. There’s even Youtube on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWq2XJCAmNA…. Well, as interesting as these “mega atrocities” are, The Nazis were evil enough without having to turn them all into Silence of the Lambs Buffalo-Bill type maniacs with urban legends.

It’s this kind of expost facto historical distortions that will prevent the Jewish people from recognizing the next generation of mortal enemies. The NAZIS were all smiles, handshakes, free cigarettes and chocolates, and we were too busy looking for Pogrom type raids to take them seriously until it was too late.

Live in Reality, my people….true Evil is never so blatant.

Answer by escritoramx
Perhaps. What do you think they did with all the hair they shaved from women’s heads?

Answer by pro_sassenheime
There is evidence that ‘lamp shades’ were in fact made from human skin but I’m unsure about the rest. The issue of lamp shades became big when they had Ilse Koch (the wife of Karl Koch) on trial to prove that she had in fact ordered the deaths of Buchenwald camp inmates for this purpose. However, after a intensive investigation by the (out of all people) SS before the war ended, they too could not find any evidence of such demand ever to have been made by Ilse Koch
The trial was held in Dachau in 1947 by the American military and is one of the most controversial ever held on a single prisoner because despite all the accusations they could not prove wrong doing on Ilse. The US military even went so far as to torture the SS investigator (the Judge) Conrad Morgan who had investigated corruption and murder at the Buchenwald camp to force a false statement out of him so that they could ‘nail’ Ilse Koch on the ‘Lamp shade’ issue which would have given them a pretext to have her hanged! Despite the SS being as notorious the Judge was incorruptible and refused to relent, but they had beaten him severely just the same.
Finally in August 1947 they got Ilse Koch on a variety of charges enough to jail her, which included ‘Guilty of participating in a common plan to violate the laws of usages’ of War under the Geneva Convention of 1929 and the Hague Convention of 1907′
Illse koch would do a lot to get sympathy and becoming pregnant at the age of 41 during the trial did little to save her, she went in for 20 years regardless. Then it was the Germans turn to put her on trial which gave her some reprieve from her cell. The German court imposed a second life sentence on her in January 1951 on the following charges which she had been found guilty off…. One count of attempted murder, Five counts of incitement to severe physical mistreatment of prisoners and, Two counts of physical mistreatment.
Illse Koch would never be released from custody in her life time, she served 20 years in Aichach prison ( situated in Bundesburg of Bavaria, just north East of Ausburg) and suicided by means of hanging herself on September 1, 1967at the age of 61.

Answer by purplepeace59
yes-the Beast of Belson, a female prison guard who did such things.

Answer by D S
Yes, it did happen. Lampshades and soap are documented facts, had not heard of purses and handbags.

Answer by ammianus
I don’t know about purses and handbags, but lampshades and furniture coverings from human skin is true.

I saw a documentary a few years back about children of the senior Nazi leaders, and they were interviewing Bormann’s son. He said that when he went round Himmler’s place to play with Himmler’s son Gudrun, there were lampshades and furniture coverings made of leather from human skin of dead Jews. The doc also mentioned a museum where these things are on display.

Human hair was used to make socks for U-Boat crews.

Money is really no object for me. My husband has a great job and I do, too. I’m spoiled rotten!!! But there’s nothing better fun than the hunt online for a good deal. I am a fashionista and love all the fancy things like Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, etc. I spend a lot of time on the computer and do almost all my shopping online — even groceries. It’s so cool because the stuff is delivered to my house! I buy a lot of bags/purses lately ESPECIALLY expensive purses and high end authentic designer handbags like Chloe and Hermes. I shop exclusively at just a few sites (I won’t mention here), but I want to know other sites selling authentic bags. I want ONLY the names of sites that sell AUTHENTIC merchandise. I HATE FAKES & COUNTERFEIT and I want a good deal. So, price matters for the answer. Any suggestions?
Tried the bagborrow place and don’t like it. The thought of borrowing a purse makes my stomach flip. I’ll try the others and hope to see more suggestions. Thanks
