So hightops? High waisted shorts with a loose tee. Looks fly :) Otherwise a singlet (if you have heard of the shop Factorie, singlets that they sell like those) and denim shorts. They always look best with denim shorts.

I’m sorry if this isn’t the answer you want to hear but prom is a special night. A night that most girls remember for a long time and I don’t think your date would want you to wear Nike’s. You could make her feel special but wearing the other shoes. It shows her you care about her more than your shoes.

ahhh im all for you wearing Nikes to a school dance! or Chucks, those are amazing.
i wouldnt wear high tops, because you would want to still stay classy yet casual due to the fact that most people tuck their pant legs into the mouth of the shoe. although, it would look to tuck your pant leg in with a nice with a pair that didnt go up as high
if you could, try to cordinate them with what your wearing, such as the colors so it wouldnt look tacky.
if your date has a blue dress, try to incorporate the blue in your shoes.
i personally would go for a bolder look, choose colors that will stand out but not make it look like your wearing rainbows on your feet. dont choose ones that are dark such as black, navy etc as the main color of the shoe

I really don’t know what weight lifting shoes are like. I am sure there are some shoes specialized for lifting but they probably aren’t worth it unless you are a pro weight lifter (anyway, I think even pros will just wear wrestling shoes). Anyway, cross trainers would be great for lifting, plus they are good for many other athletic activities you may want to do.

Cross trainers are fine. I have no problems with my cross trainers. I have friends that have used both and there isn’t any kind of noticeable difference.

I know, I have the same problem with my Hermes scarves, don’t you LOVE them. I’m patiently waiting their next sale.

There is an Hermes booklet that someone gave me, it illustrates the method for tying the scarves. It probably came from Hermes.

Hermes scarves speak for themselves. It doesn’t matter what type of top you wear with them, as long as its expensive and chic!
