Question: What is the difference between calling a woman a cougar and a puma?
Demi Moore no longer wants to called “cougar”. She wants to be referred to as a “puma”. Is one bad and the other good, or both mean the same thing? Is it just a case of a better sounding word?

who knows its a stupid term though. why is a cougar deemed a woman? its an insult to my native american heritage, a better term would be Fox or vixen which is already used

I never understood the point of calling a woman a cougar. “puma”, thats new to me. These terms I think are really stupid. “Oh my god dude, that chicks a cougar”. Hahaha, that just sounds so ridiculous.

I woman is hot, or sexy, but a “Cougar”? How does “Cougar” even fit into the equation?

Cougar is so cliche… Demi doesn’t want to be associated with “other” women that referenced themselves as cougar. She wants to be a step above…I guess.

Looks like the etymology for “puma” is Spanish, South American, so maybe she’s decided she wants to be latino.

I read the article. I’ve seen them both in a few interviews and they can barely string a few sentences together to come up with a semi thought. Nothing against them – they’re both ok to look at – as long as they don’t open their mouths.

I don’t know why she’s surprised she’s not getting any good roles. She’s not a good actress. Movies like GI Jane and Striptease will do nothing for one’s acting career. I could’ve told her that. Obviously, the lights are on but nobody’s home. And all this leads me to my conclusion – she calls herself a puma because she’s dying to be different. So this is when I wanna tell her: It’s ok Demi, you are different; we all can see it. You can stop now.
