Question: What is the difference between calling a woman a cougar and a puma?
Demi Moore no longer wants to called “cougar”. She wants to be referred to as a “puma”. Is one bad and the other good, or both mean the same thing? Is it just a case of a better sounding word?

The answer in the following:

Answer by Zork
Same words for slunt.

Answer by Death From Above
who knows its a stupid term though. why is a cougar deemed a woman? its an insult to my native american heritage, a better term would be Fox or vixen which is already used

a puma and a cougar are the same damn thing so is a mountain lion

Answer by Chadhole
Puma’s are a bit more seductive, and feisty in bed.

Answer by Seeker Of Painful Truths
I never understood the point of calling a woman a cougar. “puma”, thats new to me. These terms I think are really stupid. “Oh my god dude, that chicks a cougar”. Hahaha, that just sounds so ridiculous.

I woman is hot, or sexy, but a “Cougar”? How does “Cougar” even fit into the equation?

Answer by dark eyes
Cougar is so cliche… Demi doesn’t want to be associated with “other” women that referenced themselves as cougar. She wants to be a step above…I guess.

Answer by Savvy Bulge
Looks like the etymology for “puma” is Spanish, South American, so maybe she’s decided she wants to be latino.

Answer by
Why are older women preying on younger men called “cougars” (a stealthy predator) and older men preying on younger women just get brownie points?

Answer by Fex
No difference. Both big cats.

I read the article. I’ve seen them both in a few interviews and they can barely string a few sentences together to come up with a semi thought. Nothing against them – they’re both ok to look at – as long as they don’t open their mouths.

I don’t know why she’s surprised she’s not getting any good roles. She’s not a good actress. Movies like GI Jane and Striptease will do nothing for one’s acting career. I could’ve told her that. Obviously, the lights are on but nobody’s home. And all this leads me to my conclusion – she calls herself a puma because she’s dying to be different. So this is when I wanna tell her: It’s ok Demi, you are different; we all can see it. You can stop now.

–
Savvy – I thought she was into Judaism. So, would that make her a Latina Jew cougar?…. I’d say that’s different. No?

Answer by Yuuta
It’s a case of female logic.

Answer by Cordelia
not agree with that

Q&A: Suggestions for online shopping for disabled woman in nursing home?
Can someone offer advice? I want to buy (online) and send to a young woman in a nursing home, a gift, I do not know what to send!! The young woman is handicapped intellectually, and may have an intellect, of maybe 8 years old … I am leaning toward something with art as a focus, but mostly need suggestion for WHICH online shopping site to shop? Please help, also suggestions for what gifts are appreciated. THanks.

The answer in the following:

Answer by (:
I think i can help.
I’m 15, and volunteer at a nursing home in my free time.
One of the residents there is exactly like her.
I suggest just buying some art supplies (i.e. Crayons, Markers, Sketch Pad, watercolors) and send it through the mail or by UPS. That way, you can get the best deal possible, and pick out exactly what you send her.
Hope this helps!

Answer by Teddy & Chiliswoman
I shop locally and online at Michael’s – http://www.michaels.com/art/online/home – never had any problems getting things shipped. Their phone support is very helpful. They also have online coupons.

They have all kinds of kits where you get everything you need to make something. If you don’t want to go the route of a prefab kit, just be sure anything she might need you include – don’t expect her to have scissors if she will need to cut or glue is she needs to glue. Also think about some kind of container to keep everything you send in.

Answer by madart
Dickblick.com is my favorite online art supply store. They do sell to many schools and therefore have some supplies for the disabled. If she has trouble holding scissors or paint brushes they have some that are adapted. If you just need standard art supplies they have one of the best selections and prices.
